Ingredients

1 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. vanilla chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Mix sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl.
Stir in flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Stir in vanilla milk chips and nuts.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set.
Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet.
Cool on wire rack.
Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
