Caramel Crunch Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plain flour
1/2 c. raw oats
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 (12 oz.) jar caramel ice cream topping
1 qt. vanilla ice cream, softened
Preparation

Combine flour, oats and brown sugar.
Cut in butter until coarse crumbs.
Stir in nuts and pat into oblong pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 15 minutes or until light brown.
Stir while mixture is still warm to form crumbs.
Cool.
Pat 1/2 of crumbs into 9-inch square pan.
Drizzle 1/2 of caramel topping over crumbs, then evenly spread with ice cream.\tTop with remaining crumbs and drizzle remaining topping.
Freeze until firm.
Cut in squares.
Great for summer entertaining.
