Pecos Peanut Logs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. white sandwich bread
    3/4 c. salad oil
    3/4 c. smooth peanut butter
Preparation
    Trim crusts from bread. Cut each slice into 5 finger-sized strips.
    Lightly toast crusts and strips on a cookie sheet for 1 hour at 200\u00b0.
    Pulverize crust in blender (corn flakes may be added for volume).
    In blender combine oil and peanut butter. Dip strips in mixture and roll in crumbs.
    Place on cookie sheet and bake 45 minutes at 200\u00b0.
    These freeze well.
    Yields a baker's cord of logs.
