Shredded Beef Barbecue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. chuck meat (lean)
    water
    3 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    dash of cayenne pepper
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
Preparation
    Cook meat until very tender in small amount of water to which 3 teaspoons have been added.
    While meat is cooking, make sauce. Melt shortening and add onion; cook until tender, but not browned. Add remaining ingredients and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. When meat is done, shred it fine.
    Add meat and liquid to sauce and mix well.
    Cover and cook slowly for 30 minutes.
    If necessary, add a little water if mixture becomes thick.
    Serve on buns.
    Yields 10 to 12 servings.
