Cheese Hominy Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (15 1/2 oz.) cans hominy, drained
    2 (3 oz.) cans chopped green chilies, drained
    3 (8 oz.) cartons sour cream
    8 oz. Monterey Jack cheese
    1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. minced onions
    1 or 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped
    1/4 c. fine, dry breadcrumbs
    1/4 c. butter
    whole green chili peppers, sliced crossways
    pimento strips
Preparation
    Combine the first 6 ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
    Spoon into a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and dot with butter.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Garnish with green chilies and pimento strips.
