Methodist Potatoes(From Cantralia, Illinois Via Friend In Amsterdam) - cooking recipe

2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
3/8 c. melted butter
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 pt. sour cream
10 oz. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
2 c. crushed corn flakes
3/8 c. melted butter
Preparation

On top, put corn flakes mixed with 3/8 cup melted butter. Bake 3/4 to 1 1/4 hours at 350\u00b0.
(Timing depends on how frozen the potatoes.)
It's better to thaw them on paper towels first, but not if you are in a hurry.
