Golden Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 lb.) cans sliced peaches
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/8 tsp. almond extract
    pastry crust for 2-crust pie
Preparation
    Drain peaches reserving 1/3 cup syrup.
    Combine sugar, flour, nutmeg and dash of salt.
    Add syrup.
    Cook stirring until thick and bubbly.
    Add butter, lemon juice and extract, then peaches.
    Line a 9-inch pie plate with pastry.
    Fill.
    Adjust top crust, cutting slits for steam.
    Top with 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and dabs of butter; seal.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
