Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7/8 lb. butter (3 1/2 cubes)
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. lecithin
    1 Tbsp. white Karo
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    In 2 to 3-quart saucepan, melt butter (use butter, doesn't burn as easy as margarine).
    Add sugar and lecithin.
    Stir constantly with wooden spoon.
    Cook over medium to high heat until mixture comes to boil.
    Add syrup.
    Cook to 305\u00b0.
    Pour into buttered cookie sheet.
    (I use Pam.)
    While hot, top with milk chocolate chips; spread evenly over the top and top with nuts.
    When cool, break into pieces or may be scored while warm.
    Very good.
