Virginia Spoon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. corn meal
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. sweet milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Mix meal, salt and shortening.
Scald with boiling water. Now, add beaten eggs, sweet milk and baking powder.
Mix well and pour into greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
Bake in a 350` oven for 30 minutes or until it is springy.
