Cherry Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. fresh pitted or thawed, drained frozen red tart cherries
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar, divided
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 stick butter or margarine, melted
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Combine flour, baking powder, 3/4 cup sugar and salt.
    Add drained cherries.
    Toss to coat.
