Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow cake mix
    1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Preparation
    Take a layer of yellow cake and tear into pieces in bottom of large bowl.
    Put 1 large package of instant vanilla pudding mix according to box; pour over cake.
    Drain large can pineapple (crushed); pour over pudding.
    Put cherry pie filling, cool Whip, then add pecans and coconut if desired.
