Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 c. butter
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Set oven at 375\u00b0.
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Mix in egg and flavoring; measure flour.
    Blend dry ingredients.
    Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours.
    Divide dough in half and roll out on floured surface to 3/6 inch thick.
    Cut into desired shapes.
    Sprinkle with sugar. Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake 7 to 8 minutes.
