Canadian Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (room temperature)
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Beat butter with a mixer until foamy like cream. (Do not use margarine.) Sift dry ingredients into butter a small amount at a time. Beat well after each addition. Add vanilla. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until slightly golden at 300\u00b0. Do not overbake.
