Mackinaw Island Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix milk, butter, sugars and salt in a heavy saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla and powdered sugar.
    Beat with a mixer until smooth and thick, about 6 minutes.
    Pour into buttered pan and freeze for 20 minutes.
    Cut into pieces.
    Yields 1 pound.
