Scottish Steak Pie(Scotland) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak
    1 large onion
    2 or 3 carrots, halved
    flaky pie crust
    water
    seasoning to taste
    5 potatoes, cubed
Preparation
    Brown and cook steak, onion and carrots half through.
    Place meat, onion, carrots and potatoes in layers in buttered casserole. Add a little water to keep from sticking.
    Season.
    Cover with flaky pie crust.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
    Canned tomatoes may be substituted for water.
    Yields 6 servings.
