Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. applesauce
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. boiling coffee
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 c. chopped raisins
    1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and add sugar gradually.
    Add well beaten egg.
    Add applesauce.
    Sift flour once before measuring.
    Use a small amount of the flour to dredge fruit and nuts.
    Sift remaining flour with salt and spices.
    Dissolve soda in boiling coffee.
    Add this alternately with flour to creamed mixture.
    Add floured nuts and fruit.
    Pour mixture into greased and floured Bundt pan.
    Bake for 1 hour in 350\u00b0 oven.
