Brown Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. instant coffee crystals
    1 Tbsp. warm water
    1/3 c. margarine or butter, softened
    1/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 c. whole wheat flour
    purchased decorator icing
Preparation
    Dissolve coffee crystals in water; set aside.
    In bowl beat margarine and shortening on medium speed 30 seconds.
    Add brown sugar, cinnamon and baking powder.
    Beat until combined.
    Beat in coffee mixture, egg and vanilla.
    Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer.
    Stir in any remaining flour.
    Divide dough in half.
    Cover; chill 3 hours or until easy to handle.
    Use cookie cutter or drop on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 16 to 18 cookies.
