Aunt Frances' Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 stick butter
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. flour, sifted
1 scant tsp. baking soda in 2 Tbsp. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time.
Add cocoa and vanilla.
Alternately add flour, buttermilk and baking soda in water last.
Pour into greased and floured pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes for layer cake or 40 to 45 minutes for a 9 x 13-inch pan.
