Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
5 egg yolks
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
1/3 c. Kirschwasser (cherry brandy)
2 c. whipping cream
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips (1 c.)
Preparation

In a 2-quart saucepan, stir sugar, gelatin and salt until well mixed; gradually stir in
milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until gelatin is dissolved.
Add chocolate chips and stir constantly until chocolate is melted.
Remove from heat.
In a medium bowl with fork, beat yolks slightly.
Gradually beat in hot mixture.
Refrigerate until mixture mounds slightly when dropped from a spoon.
