Green Tomato Mincemeat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck green tomatoes
    1/2 peck tart apples
    5 lb. brown sugar
    1 lb. suet
    2 Tbsp. cloves
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 1/2 lb. raisins
    cider enough to thin
Preparation
    Chop tomatoes and let stand overnight; drain off water. Add as much hot water as you drain off and 2 tablespoons salt; cook 20 minutes; drain and add other ingredients.
    Put apples, tomatoes, and suet through
    grinder.
    Put
    in jars boiling hot and it will keep for years.
