Meatball Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 egg
    1/2 c. bread cubes
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can beef broth
    1 can tomato soup
    2 c. cooked potatoes or 16 oz. can whole potatoes
    8 oz. can peas
    1/8 tsp. thyme
Preparation
    Mix beef, egg, bread, 1/4 cup onion and salt.
    Shape into 36 meatballs.
    In large saucepan, brown meatballs and cook remaining onion in the shortening.
    Pour off fat.
    Add other ingredients and heat thoroughly.
    Makes 6 cups.
