Ingredients

2 egg whites, room temperature
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2/3 c. sugar
pinch of salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate or butterscotch chips
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cover cookie sheet with aluminum foil (ungreased).
Beat egg whites until foamy; add cream of tartar. Very slowly add sugar.
When mixture is stiff, add pinch of salt, nuts, chips, vanilla and almond flavoring.
Mix well.
Drop mixture on foil by scant teaspoon.
Place in oven; turn off heat at once.
Do not open door until morning or at least 8 hours.
