Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Grease 9-inch round or square pan.
    Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl.
    Cut in shortening until particles are fine.
    Combine milk and eggs.
    Add to dry ingredients all at once; stir until all dry particles are moistened.
    Spread dough into pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Serve warm.
    Cut in wedges; split, then fill and top with sweetened fruit and whipped cream.
