Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1 1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1 1/2 c. chopped potatoes
    1 c. peas
    1 c. green beans
    1 c. celery
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    29 oz. can tomato sauce
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In large kettle, saute onions and garlic in oil.
    Add remaining ingredients and 6 cups water.
    Simmer covered for 2 hours.
