Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    1 lb. confectioners sugar
    6 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Have butter and eggs at room temperature.
    Cream butter well. Beat in sugar until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Add vanilla and gradually add flour.
    Mix to a silken consistency.
    Pour into well-greased 9 or 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for one hour or until cake springs back. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
    Cool completely on rack.
