Snickerdoodles(Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Mix shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs together thoroughly. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; stir into moist ingredients. Roll dough into marble-sized balls. Roll each ball into mixture of 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 teaspoons sugar. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
