Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light Karo syrup
    1/2 c. hot water
    1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
Preparation
    In large iron skillet, bring water, sugar and syrup to a boil. Cook to real hard crack stage, then place raw peanuts in skillet and cook until peanuts are done or start popping.
    Remove from stove and add 1/2 teaspoon soda, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 teaspoon
    margarine.
    Stir and pour onto buttered foil.
    Let cool and peel off foil and break into pieces.
