Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    30 medium tomatoes
    2 or 3 green peppers
    2 large onions
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 sticks cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    1/2 Tbsp. whole cloves
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Skin and cook tomatoes until soft; drain well in colander. Put green peppers and onions through food chopper.
    Add to tomatoes plus salt.
    In a cheesecloth, place cinnamon, pickling spices, mustard seed, nutmeg and cloves.
    Add to vegetables along with sugar and vinegar.
    Cook 30 minutes; remove spice bag and seal in steamed jars.
    Makes 5 pints.
