Home Made Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt water
    1 cake yeast, softened in 1/4 c warm water
    1 tsp salt
    1 c lard (shortening)
    1/2 c sugar
    flour to make soft dough
Preparation
    Put flour in bottom of dish pan to cover.
    Put water, yeast mixture, lard (substitute crisco), and sugar.
    Add flour one cup at a time to make dough soft.
    let rise.
    Place in loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
    Makes six loaves.
