Danish Ebel-Skiver - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, separated
    4 Tbsp. shortening or oil
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks until light. Add oil, sugar and buttermilk. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to buttermilk mixture.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture. Bake in greased hot ebel-skiver pan. Turn gradually until done inside. Serve with syrup or brown sugar.
