Big Mama'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. mace
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Cream Crisco and 2 cups sugar thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time, beating until real fluffy. Add the other cup of sugar. Beat until sugar is dissolved. Put soda in buttermilk. Sift flour and salt together 3 times. Alternate adding flour and milk, beginning and ending with flour. Add mace and lemon flavoring. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes in a greased and floured pan. Freezes really well. Sometimes I just cut off slices and put back in freezer. Can do ahead.
