Kosher Dill Vinegar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. salt
    1 qt. vinegar
    3 qt. water
    1 clove garlic
    1 dill head
    1/8 tsp. alum
Preparation
    Boil salt, vinegar and water and pour over packed jar.
    Seal tightly.
