Sour Cream Candied Nuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. walnuts, filberts or pecans
Preparation

In a heavy saucepan, mix sugar, sour cream and salt.
Bring to a boil and cook, stirring to soft ball (236\u00b0 on candy thermometer).
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Beat until mixture begins to thicken and loses its gloss.
Add nuts and stir quickly to coat all sides.
Turn out on greased cookie sheets and separate nuts.
Makes about 1 1/8 pounds.
