New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 strips bacon
2 c. potatoes, peeled and diced
1 large onion, diced
4 cans minced clams
pinch of basil
pinch of thyme
1/2 stick butter
milk to suit taste
Preparation

Cook 3 strips bacon in large pan.
When bacon is cooked, drain off fat.
Add 2 cups peeled and diced potatoes and diced onion. Cover with water and boil.
When potatoes and onion are cooked, add 4 cans of minced clams.
Continue cooking.
Add pinch of basil or thyme, 1/2 stick butter and milk.
Turn heat down when milk is added so you don't scorch the chowder.
