Sweet Pickle Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cucumbers, sliced
    3 3/4 c. vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. plain salt
    4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    4 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    3/4 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Slice or cut longways.
    Cover with boiling water.
    Let stand overnight, covered.
    Pour off water.
    Mix all other ingredients and boil 5 minutes.
    Pack pickles in pint jars.
    Pour syrup over cucumbers.
    Seal.
    Process in water bath 5 minutes.
    Makes 6 pints.
