Caramel Popcorn(Candy) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. popped popcorn
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Put butter in 1 1/2-quart dish.
    Microwave on High 1 minute. Stir in sugar, syrup and salt.
    Cover and microwave on High 4 minutes.
    Remove from oven, stir in soda and vanilla.
    Pour over popcorn.
    Stir until all is coated and no sugar mixture remains in dish.
    Cook popcorn on High for 2 1/2 minutes.
    Stir well after each minute.
    Remove from oven.
    Spread in a lightly buttered 15 x 10-inch pan until cool.
    Break into chunks.
