Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter flavor
1 oz. red food color
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, vanilla, butter flavor, flour, buttermilk and salt.
Make paste of cocoa and food coloring; add to first batch.
Mix soda and vinegar in small bowl and add to batter.
Blend in baking powder.
Pour into greased and floured cake pan.
Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
