Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
2 to 3 c. fresh or frozen blackberries
2 Tbsp. butter
cinnamon
3 Tbsp. Crisco
1 c. flour
1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
Preparation

In a saucepan, mix sugar and milk; add water.
Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute.
Stir in blackberries.
Pour into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
Dot with butter and lightly sprinkle with cinnamon.
