Easy No-Roll Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
In large bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, cream butter with sugar and egg until very light and fluffy.
Sift flour with salt, baking soda and cream of tartar right into bowl.
Beat at low speed until well combined; beat in vanilla.
