Easter Egg Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. oleo or vegetable shortening
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour
    3/4 c. pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all together.
    Put 1/4 in bowl and color deep yellow.
    Use 1 level teaspoonful and roll in balls.
    Freeze.
    Divide 3/4 of dough into 3 parts and tint pink, green, etc.
    Take one level teaspoonful.
    Shape around yellow balls.
    Refrigerate.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes on ungreased cookie sheets 1 inch apart. Do not brown too much.
