Brandy (Or Rum) Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    2 1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafers (about 64)
    1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    1 1/4 c. chopped pecans
    1/3 c. brandy or dark rum
Preparation
    In heavy 2-quart saucepan, combine evaporated milk and chocolate pieces.
    Cook, stirring over medium heat until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth and thickened.
    Remove from heat.
    Add crushed wafers, sugar, 1/2 cup pecans and brandy or rum; mix well. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes.
    Shape into balls 1 inch in diameter.
    Roll in remaining pecans.
    Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
