One Dish Meal - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 carrots, scraped, split lengthwise and cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 medium Russet potato, cut in half lengthwise
    2 small onions or 1 large onion, cut in half
    8 (4-inch) pieces celery
    1/2 head firm cabbage, cut into 4 pieces
    2 ears corn-on-the-cob
    1 smoked sausage (optional)
Preparation
    Insert steamer in large pan or pot.
    Fill pan or pot to bottom of steamer with water.
    Add carrots, potatoes, onions, celery, cabbage and corn.
    When water boils, reduce heat and cook, covered, until carrots and potatoes are tender.
    Remove to platter and sprinkle with Molly McButter or salt and pepper.
    If sausage is used, place on top of vegetables to cook.
    Serves two.
