Norwegian Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening, butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together until fluffy. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture. Make walnut size balls and dip in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2-inches apart. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
