Cracklin' Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. self-rising cornmeal (white or yellow)
    1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg, fork beaten
    1 Tbsp. honey
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. cracklin's (heaping!!)
    1 to 2 Tbsp. bacon grease (for skillet)
    several shakes each: seasoned pepper, garlic powder, onion bits, curry powder and chili powder (optional)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together 3 times.
    Mix in everything else in order.
    Heat a 9-inch iron skillet in a 375\u00b0 oven with the bacon grease in it.
    Pour batter in the piping hot skillet.
    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    If using a long (9 x 17-inch) iron skillet, make 3 recipes to fill it.
