Vegetable Casserole(Servings: 12) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 strips bacon, diced
    1 can green beans, drained
    1 can peas and pearl onions, drained
    1 can asparagus pieces, drained
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, cubed
    1 small can sliced water chestnuts
    1 can Campbell's golden mushroom soup
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    salt and pepper
    1 small can chow mein noodles
Preparation
    In skillet, saute bacon and onion; drain.
    In 10 x 14-inch buttered casserole dish, mix all ingredients, except chow mein noodles.
    Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    Remove and sprinkle with chow mein noodles.
    Return to oven for 5 or 10 more minutes.
