Baked Steak Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak (beef, venison or elk)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion
    1/2 green pepper
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
    3 or 4 whole cloves
    2 c. tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Place meat
    in\troasting
    pan;\tsprinkle
    with salt and pepper.
    Cut vegetables in slices on top of meat.
    Heat tomato sauce, lemon juice,
    bay
    leaf and cloves; bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
    Pour over meat and vegetables.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10
    minutes;
    reduce
    heat to 325\u00b0 and bake for 1 1/4 hours.
    Can
    also
    be
    layered
    in\ta crock-pot;
    cook on low, until meat is well done.
