Ingredients

1 lb. butter
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 c. sugar
4 large eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla
5 c. oatmeal, ground into flour (5 c. before grinding)
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
24 oz. chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 large (7 to 9 oz.) bar milk chocolate, chopped
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Mix butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla until very fluffy.
Sift dry ingredients to blend and then stir into batter, blending well.
Stir in chocolate chips, nuts and chocolate bar.
Roll in large balls (use heaping teaspoonful) and place 3 inches apart on shiny cookie sheets.
Bake on upper rack of oven for 10 minutes.
Don't overbake.
Cookies may not look done, take out anyway.
Cool on racks.
Store in airtight container.
