Jack County Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    1 qt. freezer bag fruit (peaches, apricots or boysenberries) or canned fruit
Preparation
    Melt butter in sheet cake baking pan.
    If using frozen fruit, cook slowly for 30 minutes with 1 cup sugar.
    After cooking, you should have 1/2 to 1 cup juice.
    Do not drain.
    Pour fruit and juice over butter in pan.
    Mix sugar, flour, salt, baking powder and milk to make batter.
    Pour over fruit.
    Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar before baking.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes until slightly brown on top and cobbler mixture is firm.
