Almond Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    2 eggs
    1/3 c. Wesson or other oil
    12 oz. shelled whole almonds
Preparation
    Mix together with a whisk, flour, baking powder, sugars and cinnamon.
    Beat together extract, eggs and oil.
    Add to first mixture.
    Mix well, then add shelled almonds.
    Shape dough into a 10-inch long roll (about 3/4 cup dough).
    Brush with egg yolk. Shape into a 10-inch rope about 1 to 1 1/2-inches thick.
    Bake for 20 minutes in a 375\u00b0 oven.
    Do not over cook!
    Cook in a well-greased pan.
    Cool about 10 minutes and cut in diagonal slices.
