Bing Cherry Salad(Looks Great On A Holiday Table) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. cherry gelatin
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 large can dark, sweet pitted cherries
    1/4 c. chopped pecans
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened at room temperature
    12 oz. cola beverage
Preparation
    Drain fruit and heat juice to boiling.
    Pour over gelatin; stir until dissolved and set aside to cool slightly.
    Cream softened cheese with part of the cola and gradually add remaining cola, fruit and nuts.
    Stir this into gelatin mixture and pour into a slightly greased 1 1/2-quart mold.
    Chill until firm. Loosen edges with a knife and remove from mold.
    May need to place mold in sink-full of warm water just a few seconds.
